We have the men and equipment to move you

As such we are "convenience movers."  We work quickly and do not take breaks.

You can book in advance or hire us to help you move on short notice. In most cases same day service can be provided.

We do not pack goods for customers or sell packing materials

Our trucks are loaded for rapid deployment and equipped for many different tasks. Consequently, allocation of time and space are major concerns.

Unexpected damage

In the event there should be any, we pay for the repair of goods deemed to be damaged by us in transit, subject to fair wear and tear and the terms of our disclaimer shown below***

Be sure to pack your valuables in sturdy cardboard containers whenever possible

They do not have to be new (you can pick up unwanted cartons from grocers and retailers in your area). Keep their weight to a maximum of 50 lbs, tape them closed, and be sure to double-tape the bottoms, especially when packing books and papers. A professional tape gun can be purchased at most hardware stores for this purpose, for less than ten dollars.

The more you do the less it costs

Empty drawers and cabinets and box the contents, including loose shelves. We will secure drawers and doors with plastic shrink wrap. Bundle unwieldy items like mops, brooms, vacuum parts and steel bed rails with tape, and wrap up and attach the cords on television sets, stereos and appliances.

If you are sending a kitchen or dining table with removable legs, remove them before we arrive. If you do, we will immediately wrap the item and its legs and store it in the truck.

It is also wise to remove and pack the delicate tops and shades of fragile table and standing lamps in stackable containers.

We load your big pieces first

Be careful to keep the access to your home and hallways clear of small items before we arrive. We will lay down mover's rubber runner mats to protect your floor and then load large items, like your sofa and other upholstered items into the truck first. Bedding and other soft items are then layered on top. All goods are wrapped for protection in mover's warehouse blankets.

Appliances, if any, are loaded last

Be sure they are disconnected and drained of water.

Your washing machine comes from the factory with a heavy concrete or iron block installed inside, to give it stability. Please do not leave wet clothes or water in it, that will increase its weight.

Clean before you move

If your furniture is dusty or subject to attracting wayward pet hair, please take the time to vacuum it before we arrive to move it. If you do, it will be ready to use and enjoy in your new home.

The trouble with liquids

Do not pack household liquids that can spill in your load unless you have secured them in appropriate plastic containers or bags. If a spill should damage your goods we cannot be held responsible.

Be further advised: we cannot carry propane, gasoline, other flammable products or caustic household chemicals.

Slow elevator service can increase your costs

If you are leaving an apartment building with an elevator, approach the manager to "lock it off" for us during the time you plan to move. And do likewise for the building you are planning to move to. Much time is lost on moves if this courtesy is not effected.

If it snows, be sure to clear the walks

Make a path for us for access so we don't have to take time to do it, that will be an extra cost to you.

If the weather is unfavorable

Do what you can to protect your bedding and other soft absorbent items. Water and seeping moisture can be ruinous. Inexpensive plastic protective covers for boxsprings and mattresses are available at most department or discount stores, that will give you another measure of protection.

Parking is almost always a problem

Our truck are designed for multi-purpose moving work and when fully equipped are 35 feet long. (The length of 3 compact cars.) Please clear a space for us in front of your building if you can, so we can quickly park for loading or unloading; or clear your driveway or two parking spots in front of your home, if moving from a private residence.

A word about stress

Moving is a trying experience for most people. To relieve anxiety, try not to schedule your move within a totally inflexible time frame. The move we complete before yours may take an hour or more to finish than we estimated it would, no matter how well we plan.
